Ten in 10
Come Grow with God in 2010!
 |
What can spending 10 minutes a day in 2010 accomplish? Reading through the New Testament in one year! Join us as we take on a Bible reading challenge as a congregation this year. It's a great way to get into God's Word with encouragement and tips along the way. Free Bible reading schedules are available at the Info Centers and in the newsletter each month. |
- Check out the newsletter and this web page for monthly tips, tools, and encouragement.
- Choose any five days of the week to read. The schedule lists Monday through Friday as reading days, but you can vary the days you read depending on your schedule.
- Use your 10 minutes on non-reading days to spend more time in prayer or reread a passage you enjoyed.
- Find a consistent place to read and pray.
- Use an understandable translation of the Bible such as the NIV, TNIV, or NRSV. If you need a Bible, contact the church and we'll get you one for free.
- Enjoy the challenge and expect God to transform you and use you through the process!
The Bible Blog - check back in January for more blog entries.
The Bible blog is a way that we can read and reflect on Scripture together, even though we aren’t physically in the same place. It contains tips, tools, encouragements, and personal reflections on the Scripture – in no particular order.
Since it’s a community adventure, you are welcome to add to it! If you have a reflection on the Scripture reading to share, or a general tip or encouragement about getting into the Word, we would love to hear from you. Please email Amy at amyh@1stpres.com to submit your entry.
