The following information is for any student desiring to join a committed group of believers in pursuit of a deeper journey into faith in Jesus Christ.

What is Depth?

A place where college students can:

  • Grow in their personal faith in Jesus Christ, by actively being involved in a Depth Group and Emmaus.
  • Develop their gifts in service to the Body of Christ, by committing to an area of ministry.

Grow:

Depth Groups

  • Meet weekly for about 2 hours on Thursday nights (unless rescheduled by entire group)
  • Are made up of 4-6 same gender members led by an Emmaus Associate (an older member of First Presbyterian Church, or community member).
  • Create community through accountability and an in-depth Bible study
  • Commit to prayer for each other during and outside group meetings.

Emmaus

  • Weekly communal worship and challenging talks are a step in encouraging your growth in Christ as well as deepening your relationship with Him and others.

Develop:

  • You are asked to be intentional about ministry, in your life.
  • This is a list of suggestions for intentional ministry areas. Ministry areas are not limited to just Emmaus or First Pres. It could be anything: who we work with, who we are in class with, who we live with. Our life is to be a ministry! Simply be intentional about making it so and allow your fellow Depth group members room to encourage you along the way.
